  1. Dates of Mission

  1. Where you are going?             Mati, Davao Oriental    
  1. Are volunteers are still needed and when is the deadline for signing up?

     Our quota is 70-80 volunteers exclusive of the Pahinungod volunteers

  1. Do you help get special permits for those who are not licensed to practice in the Philippines?

           Answer: Only volunteers who work in the O.R. and hospital are required to have special permits SP or PRC licenses. SPs are valid for future missions only. It is preferable that Fil-Ams renew their original PHL license good for 3 years. Initial renewal was only P700. plus P50. penalty for each year that it was not renewed.

     Deadline is 9/30/2017

  1. Meeting place for those joining the mission; when?

     Most likely arrival will be on 1/28 in Davao airport. Before that volunteers will likely meet at the airport in Manila

  1. What specialties are needed?

               SURGEONS, ANESTHESIOLOGISTS, PEDIATRICS, FAMILY PRACTICE, INTERNAL MEDICINE

  1. Are you discouraging hanger-ons and too much luggage?

   We try to limit the whole group to 100 volunteers

  1. Estimated cost of Travel and Lodging per volunteer from Manila to Davao.

     Regular economy round trip fares are about 8k-9k per person. There are senior discounts. But there are promos all year round. Lodging will range from 1000p for a single to 2000p for a double.

               YES, to Glenn. Volunteers are expected to fund raise at least $100. per person payable to UPMASA.
