Medical Mission: Malaybalay, Bukidnon 2020

One of the largest UPMASA & Ugnayan ng Pahinungod Medical Mission contingency (110+) this February was a huge success and here are the stats.  For the first time, Dental Restoration was added and with the help of local Ophthalmologists, Cataract surgeries were done.

Pediatric Surgery: 32  (Cheiloplasty 17, Hernia Repair 12, Excision mass 2, Foreign Body Removal 1)

Adult Surgery:  51 (Thyroidectomy 4 (total/subtotal), lobectomy 7, Sistrunk 1, Tonsillectomy 1, Cholecystectomy 5, THBSO 12, VHAPR 3, USO 5, Hernia 9, Marsupialization (Bartholin) 1, Excision 3)

Minor Surgeries:  171

CATARACTS:  24 (done by local Philippine Ophthalmologists)

DENTAL: (2 Davao, 4 Cebu, 2 Bukidnon Dentists joining our contingency)

Extraction of 1220 dental caries    Oral prophylaxis:  233 patients    Dental Restorations: a total of 216 teeth in 122 patients

Medical and Pediatric consultations:  2,005 + 10 cases referred directly to Bukidnon Provincial Medical Center without being registered in our census

Eyeglasses dispensed:  476     Eye Screenings with referral to ophthalmology: 66      Blood Sugar testing: 75
